The Challenge
Integra Adhesives needed to communicate the exceptional bonding strength of their product to fabricators working with quartz and natural stone. The primary selling point—its ability to create strong bonds in vertical and even upside-down applications—needed to be instantly understood in a single, impactful visual.
Concept Development
The concept of a boulder seemingly defying gravity emerged as the perfect metaphor for the product’s capabilities. The striking visual of a suspended rock immediately communicates the core benefit without requiring technical explanation. The bold headline “Gravity defying adhesive” reinforces this message with minimal text.
Design Approach
I developed a clean, modern layout that lets the powerful visual do the heavy lifting. The color palette purposefully keeps to blues and earth tones that complement stone fabrication environments while ensuring the Integra brand colors remain prominent. The product imagery was positioned strategically to create visual balance with the dramatic boulder photograph.
Results
This advertisement successfully captured attention in the International Surface Fabricators Association publication, driving increased interest in Surface Bonder Zero. The campaign effectively positioned the product as the premium solution for challenging vertical applications in the stone fabrication industry.
